Established in 2008, CROWN ME is a brand birthed from the mind of Jamaan Hunter. The Jackson, MS

native and Bailey High School graduate cut his teeth in the music business. Traveling the country with his

next door neighbor, David Banner, Hunter watched him build and market his B.i.G Face label by creating

Mississippi apparel that he sold out of the back of his van while touring.

“I was able to watch first hand how people were drawn to a concept they were close to,” Hunter said.

“Banner’s clothes had “Mississippi” on them and folks identified with that. He’d sell as many t-shirts and jerseys as

he would cd’s”

When Hunter branched out to start his own company, he wanted a name that would stand for

something. A name that his clientele could carry like a badge of honor. It was then CROWN ME was

established. Hunter says he printed up 5 shirts just to outfit his immediate team and folks immediately

started requesting shirts of their own. With gear targeting a wide demographic from artists to

businessmen, from kids to their grandparents, and all ages 8 to 65. The Crown Me philosophy is steeped

in pride and remembrance of those who came before us.

“The music was the hook, the gear was the stamp.” Hunter added. “I wanted Crown Me to not just be a

name, but a lifestyle. We come from Kings and Queens…royalty…Its time that we get what we rightfully

deserve and this brand speaks to that”
